Q: If you could do one workout for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Flat dumbbell chest press.
Q: What was the defining moment that changed the way you look at health & fitness?
A: In high school, my three friends and I bought a bench press at Walmart and challenged each other to see who can bench 100lbs first. ALL of my friends were able to hit it except for me. That was the beginning of my fitness journey, and the rest is history in the making.
Q: You were a beginner once. Who/what did you rely on for information and inspiration?
A: I watched the golden era, classic old school bodybuilding videos for motivation, as well as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Calum Von Moger and Chris Bumstead religiously. They made me love fitness even more, all while having fun at the same time!
Q: Your legs are feeling like jelly, your mind is swirling with doubts, but in your heart, you know you have one more set in you. What song are you playing to get you through it?
A: Honestly, no music whatsoever. The sheer sound of my heavy breathing and the clanking sound of weights is enough for me.
Q: What’s one thing you wish someone told you when you decided to get serious about your health & fitness?
A: Focus on form first, the rest will fall into place!!!
Q: What does it mean for you to be on the Dymatize Squad?
A: For me, it means that all the long years of hard work, pain, and discipline have finally paid off. Everything that I put myself through was finally worth it. That’s what being on the Dymatize Squad means to me.
